What a tilt angle bracket does

Panels produce the most over a year when they face the sun at the right angle, so most structures are built at a fixed tilt. The degree bracket joins the members at that angle and holds them there, and its multiple holes allow the position to be adjusted on site.

It is 2.5 mm GI sheet with a 50 µm zinc coat, 40×40 mm, made for 41×41 strut purlins.

Choosing the tilt

The usual rule is a tilt close to the site's latitude for the best year-round output. Flatter angles cut the wind load and suit rooftops where height or space is limited; the structure's designer makes the final call.

Whatever the angle, set the brackets the same way on every leg of a row, so the panels sit in one plane, and tighten the bolts only once the row is aligned.
